Exercise to keep fit.

Healthy adults should make it a practice to engage in 30 minutes of moderate physical activity at least five times a week, according to medical experts. Moderate physical activity means conversations are still possible while exercising. Alternatively, people can also train intensely for 20 minutes, three times a week. Trained fitness specialists have come up with the precise exercise recommendations for healthy adults.

Along with the exercise, a regular stretching program is also recommended. Ten repetitions of eight to 10 different exercises twice a week are considered best. All major muscle groups should be included.

The prescribed time periods can also be spread out over the day, though each period should be at least 10 minutes. The regular activity should lessen the chance of metabolic problems and other illnesses.
